California Pizza Kitchens Butter Cake

I was in Los Angeles this past weekend for Beautycon Festival LA.  It was absolutely awesome.  I received so many free products that I had to go buy a duffle bag to bring them back to Atlanta.  After I left Target my stomach was rumbling!!!!

I stopped by California Pizza Kitchen and sat at the bar.  This lady that was sittting beside me had a dessert.   I've never looked at their dessert before.  We were talking and she was explaining how that butter cake was so delicious.  I was like eh.

The more I looked at it I became curious.   I googled the cake the reviews were outstanding.  After a few more sips of my Sangria I decided I had to try!  I ordered and the first bite I wanted to kick that lady in the throat, but she had already left.  That cake was so delicious!!!!!  I was like dang....another delicious item from the devil preventing the skinny me to be revealed.  Look at the pics and my recommendation is get the darn butter cake!

Table Manor

I had the pleasure to attend my first Mina Meals Table Manor event.  The theme was Big Ass Kid's.   Yes,  right up my alley.   I'm a big ass kid through and through.   Leading up to the event I was told the menu but nothing prepares you for the actual dinner.

The event was held at The Kupkakerie on Main Street in East Point.   When you walk in the place is decorated with nostalgic toys and games such as Jenga, old school tin lunchboxes, Hoola Hoops, and bouncy balls.   It's an intimate setting of no more than 10 patrons.   The hosts greet you with warm welcome and you feel laid back and at ease.   Then I walked over to the place settings and read what was on the table and my mouth was watering from the popcorn placed at each table.

There are conversation cards for each person and right away the guests are engaged.   The popcorn which is the first course,  tastes like Fruity Pebbles.   I loved Fruity Pebbles as a kid,  I still love them now.   The beverage of choice was a concoction of Sprite and rum soaked Gummi Bears.   Those Gummi Bears were perfectly delicious,  and potent 😊.

Second course was Cafeteria corn with Chili Aioli & Herbs.   Unexpectedly delicious!  The third course and I must say one of my favorites is the Napoleon,  Lemme get one of your TOTS!  This was tater tots with a wonderful twist.   It had Picadillo and Turkey Chili on top of the tater tots.  The taste still lingers in my brain.   It was light,  perfectly seasoned,  and a generous portion.

The main course was a delightful upgrade on square pizza.   The square pizza consisted of Peach BBQ sauce,  Green Jackfruit, Spinach,  & Gruyers. How the chef cane up with this.....I don't know but I savored every bite.   Then came the Hot Cheetos Mac & Cheese.   I'm not a big fan of Hot Flaming Cheetos but the crumbles mixed with expertly prepared mac & cheese was the prefect combination.

Lastly,  dessert... dessert was Shirley Temple Cake which was Lemon Cake,  Maraschino glaze,  and a abundance of cherries.   In between courses there's laughter,  talking,  fun,  and activities.   We all picked a number and there were three opportunities to win balls filled with childhood candy and a free ticket to the next event!

Overall I really enjoyed my first Table Manor event with the incomparable chef Mina.   I look forward to attending more events and meeting even more beautiful people as I met this time around.   Please follow the event and the chef on Instagram.   The Instagram names are @Minameals_ & @Tablemanor_.

Arby's Kings Hawaiian Bacon Sugar BLT

I've never been a big fan of Arby's.   I only tried a Martha's Vinyard salad and it was ok.   Going to get my Aunt something to eat, she wanted a Reuben.

I saw this sign with all this beautiful bacon on it and I was like how can I get this in my life? I saw the first picture with a sandwich with layers of bacon.   I was like give me the BLT!

Got home and the bacon was sooooo delicious.   It was like sugar was sprinkled on the bacon.   I meant to take a picture of the actual sandwich,  but I ate it too fast.   I mean bacon was just coming out the sandwich.   THE BREAD,  Kings Hawaiian.....you already know it was scrumptious.

It was so good I bought another one just a few minutes ago.   Again,  I forgot to take pictures cause I ate it so fast.  I recommend this and give it my deliciousness stamp of approval!

10 Degrees South

I went to this restaurant last week.  All I can say is delicious! The food and drinks were so good.  I had the lamb chops.  Only thing I wish I had more of is the vegetables and mashed potatoes.  My lamb....ohhhh weeeee.  It was done just right!  I couldn't even eat all of it.  My drink was good.  I forgot what it was...lol.  Now the bill.  My lamb chops were $38 and my drink was $12.  Average for Atlanta.  What they didn't do was separate checks.  You gotta work that out with your party.  They will just split up the checks in equal amounts and charge each card equally.  I was like WHAT? I had $50 worth of food and I paid $70.   I was like does this include tip?  Nope it did not.  I was like it does now cause I'll usually leave 20% at the very least.  I left a $8 tip this time.  So I paid $78.   Other than that I am gonna go back but me and my crew gotta sit at tables across from each other.....lol!
